Naval Weather Service Association (NWSA)

An association of Aerographers & Mates,
Meteorologists & Oceanographers

5th – 9th April 2020

Plans are well underway for our #46 reunion. The highlight of the week will be a tour of the National Museum of The Mighty Eighth Air Force (  I urge you all to read Masters of the Air by Donald Miller.  You will really appreciate The Mighty Eighth if you do.

Along with the Mighty Eighth tour, we’ll tour lovely, historic Savannah by trolley, have lunch at Paula Dean’s and have plenty of free time to enjoy the area. We’ll arrange nine holes of golf at a nice local course.  Banquet will be held at our hotel or nearby Sam Sneads which has excellent food.

So, we’re off and running.  Weather should be decent.  All we need is the crowd!

Reunion #46 promises to be a Southeast Coast reunion to remember, but to make it happen we need sponsors.  Each Chapter can help by buying an ad in the Reunion Pamphlet.  We are encouraging full-page ads, which are $50. Please send your advertisement and payment to:

2021 Reunion #47 Questionnaire

At Reunion #45 incoming President Jim Romano, after getting approval of Savannah, GA for next year’s reunion, suggested a 4-day cruise for Reunion #47 in 2021. The cruise would be to Atlantis the Bahamas, out of Port Canaveral, FL or Charleston, SC. Both easy in, easy out ports. Baltimore has good cruises to the Bahamas also.

The cost ($500-700) would be roughly what reunion attendees have been paying for lodging with the added benefit of free meals and entertainment being included.  Late Spring or early Fall 2021 was suggested as the time frame for the cruise reunion.

President Jim would like to get input on this from the membership. How do you feel about it?  Let him know by clicking the Cruise Survey link below and completing the form:
